Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between parent behaviors protective and social support peers for student social competence. Respondents in this study were elementary school Islamic student of Al Azhar 11 and elementary school Islamic Al Azhar 35 Surabaya. There are three scales used in this study are : Scale Social Competence, Scale Parent Behaviors Protective and Scale Peer Social Support using a Likert scale.Tthe results of multiple regression analysis found the value F = 1.885, p = 0.159 (p ≥ 0.05), which proves that the parent behaviors protective and social support peers have no correlation with the students social competence; there is no positive correlation between the parent behaviors protective with the student social competence, were t = 1.556 and p = 0.124 (p ≥ 0.05), there is no positive correlation between social support peers with the students social competence, were value t = 0.898 and p = 0.372 (p ≥ 0.05).
