Abstract

In this study, the researcher used Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis in the film "Habibie & Ainun 3" to convey the moral messages contained in the film. Film “Habibie & Ainun 3" is a drama film with a romance genre directed by Hanung Bramantyo. In this film there are many positive things that build. The research focus in this study is to focus on the moral message in the film "Habibie & Ainun 3" according to Roland Barthes 'semiotic perspective, using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis by revealing the meaning of denotation, connotation, and myth in the film. Roland Barthes' theory defines the hidden meaning in the film. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach that describes the form of written or spoken words with data collection techniques such as observation, documentation, and literature review. From the dialogue, several related scenes interpret that women can also have a level with men, and pursue high ideals that women are not only in the kitchen, and Ainun's struggle to serve the community. The first meaning of denotation is that it is not good to hate someone too much, the second is the importance of collaboration between groups to achieve victory, the third effort and hard work will give results in accordance with what we aspire to, fourth never be afraid to fail to make failure a learning, and that Fifth, if we want to strive earnestly, we will get perfect results just like Ainun got a female doctorate degree with the best graduates of her time.
