Abstract

The city of Surabaya has the main function namely the Capital of the Province of East Java, has developed into a metropolitan city with a population of more than 2.97 million people wit h a population growth rate of 0.06 percent per year. This condition can be seen in one segment of East Greges-West Kalianak road which is a densely populated area with many places of business. Traffic conditions on the road are congested and irregular, especially during rush hours and traffic jams are not uncommon. Based on the description above, it is one of the basics of calculation analysis, so after the road survey it is necessary to conduct a traffic jam analysis on East Greges-West Kalianak road. This research was preceded by a literature review and a preliminary survey which was then followed by the collection of secondary and primary data. Primary data is in the form of a survey of road performance and road situation. Secondary data in the form of statistical data on population growth then the analysis method uses the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2014). The results showed that the geometric condition of the Jalan Greges Timur Kalianak Barat is a 4/2TT road type, the volume of vehicles at peak hours on Monday was 2398,2 skr/hour, the free flow speed was 46,98 km/hour, the basic capacity at both directions are 3.146,4 skr/hour on the road type 4/2TT, the degree of saturation is 0.66 and in 2/2TT it is 2.942,3 skr/hour with the degree of saturation of 0.71, so that the level of service (Level of Services) on the road is in category C These factors have the characteristics of the current is still stable, speed and can still be controlled.
