Abstract
The study of the selection of motors and pumps is done because the existing pump motor is obsolete, and must be replaced. To get a new pump motor option, it is necessary to review the discharge and pump head used by the motor and pump beforehand. Calculation of water discharge requirements is based on the number of occupants and maximum water usage in luxury Apartment class buildings and to calculate the actual total pump head based on acessories and plumbing installations on the Isometric Apartment diagram The Via & The Vue, the new pump discharge and pump head is 48,3m3 / h and 127,86m. This pump discharge and head are used as the basis for determining the motor and pump options to be used. The choice of motors and pumps is carried out comparative analysis on the economic side and reliability on the protection side in consideration of the selection of motors and pumps. From the studies that have been done, the Ebara Pump type EVM 4570f5/30 is used as a replacement for the previous motor and pump. The Ebara Pump motor for operational costs is compared to the existing pump motor and the new pump motor as the comparison has the largest savings, which is Rp.87.933.600 per year. Ebara Pump type EVM 45-70f5/30 based on reliability on the protection side has a longer lifetime than the comparable pump motor that is for 10 years. The replacement of the pump motorbike at The Via & The Vue Apartments in addition to having a spare part from the pump motorbike was obsolete, aiming also to save money to keep the company healthy and alive.
