Abstract

Cost control in construction projects is required for the results to be achieved as expected. Control is done periodically and must be in a fast and easy way. Analysis of Variants and Earned Value Concepts is one that can be used in controlling costs and time. The purpose of this study is to apply Macro MS Excel in controlling material costs and wages, also analyzing cost performance, time, and estimating the cost of final completion, estimated time of completion, and estimated profit and loss. Control with material and wage variants requires quantity calculations. So that calculations can be carried out quickly that is commonly used in general. The author uses an additional VBA program to calculate the quantity. The program is not full automatic, so it is more flexible to use Excel files that are already owned by adjusting the format used by macros in an easy and fast way. Quantity calculations are only on the list of ingredients or wages to be calculated, just press Ctrl-r. The calculation will stop by itself when meeting the unit price equal to minus one previously installed. Calculation calculated with Ms Excel tables. From the analysis conducted for the Pemalang District DPRD Building Project from the 12th week to the 22nd week from the analysis of material variants, the total value of Rp.1,468 billion was obtained, even though there was a plus and a minus. The yield from the wage variant is still lower than planned, totaling only Rp. 0.328 billion, the value is quite small. Analysis of the variance of costs and time is known that the actual costs are still smaller than planned, but there is a tendency to expand from the 19th week to the 22nd week, with an estimated total completion cost of Rp.76,913 billion or a profit of 6.06%. While the estimated completion time is 52 days faster.
