Abstract
PT. XYZ is a shoe manufacturing company with a make-to-order production system, facing challenges of inventory uncertainty and suboptimal supplier performance, which triggers production delays. This study aims to analyze optimal raw material inventory planning, prioritize supplier performance indicators, and compare inventory control conditions before and after the method implementation. The data processing methods used are the Continuous Review System (s, S) for inventory control and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) for supplier selection. The CRS method results set safety stock and reorder point (s) values respectively for Canvas at 3.570 m and 7.098 m; Mesh Fabric at 3.587 m and 8.174 m; and Lining Fabric at 2.009 m and 3.659 m. The AHP processing results in a Consistency Ratio (CR) of 0.0925, indicating consistent assessment. Based on the weighting of the criteria, the Performance History aspect (weight 0.2950) and the sub-criterion of the ability to meet demand (weight 0.2146) became the company's top priorities. Through alternative evaluation, Supplier 1 was chosen as the main priority supplier with the highest weight of 0.5057 (51%). Comparison analysis shows that applying these two methods can optimize inventory control through structured mathematical parameters, reduce the risk of stock shortages or overstocking, and shift the supplier selection decision process from previously being subjective-single (price-based only) to objective and expert data-based.
