Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara regulasi diri belajar dan konformitas teman sebaya dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Teknik pengambilan partisipan menggunakan metode accidental sampling dengan Jumlah sampel penelitian berjumlah 228 siswa SMP. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa skala prokrastinasi akademik, skala regulasi diri belajar, dan skala konformitas teman sebaya. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman’s Rho karena data tidak memenuhi asumsi linearitas. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ρ = -0,747 signifikansi p = 0,000 (p < 0,05) adanya hubungan negatif dan signifikan antara regulasi diri belajar dan prokrastinasi akademik. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan ρ = 0,572 signifikansi p = 0,000 (p < 0,05) adanya hubungan positif antara konformitas teman sebaya dengan prokrastinasi akademik. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa upaya pencegahan prokrastinasi akademik perlu difokuskan pada penguatan kemampuan regulasi diri belajar siswa, seperti keterampilan mengatur waktu, menetapkan tujuan belajar, dan mengelola distraksi. Selain itu, sekolah dan guru diharapkan dapat menciptakan iklim pertemanan yang positif dengan mendorong norma kelompok yang mendukung disiplin dan tanggung jawab akademik, sehingga pengaruh teman sebaya dapat diarahkan ke arah yang positf.
