Abstract

Surabaya termasuk kota metropolitan yang memiliki banyak jalan raya.Jalan raya menjadi hal yang utama yang dibutuhkan. Jalan raya adalah salah satu prasarana transportasi data yang paling penting. Jalan raya dapat menghubungkan satu tempat ke tempat yang lain. Oleh karena itu kondisi ruas jalan yang baik sangat mempengaruhi kinerja jalan raya. Pengerasan jalan raya dapat menjaga kondisi jalan baik dan stabil sehingga pengguna jalan raya merasa aman dan nyaman dalam berkendara. Namun sering kali ada kendala yang terjadi seperti kemacetan atau penumpukan kendaran disuatu ruas jalan. Salah satu pemicunya yaitu parkir dibadan jalan. Parkir dibadan jalan (on street parking) di jalan Kapasan Surabaya sering membuat kemacetan sehingga ruas jalan tidak bekerja dengan seharusnya. Jalan kapasan Surabaya menjadi Objek penelitian ini Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisa karakterisktik lalu lintas dan nilai derajat kejenuhan akibat parkir dibadan jalan Kapasan Surabaya. Metode yang gunakan yaitu survey dan observasi lapangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama seminggu dengan interval waktu yang ditentukan. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat 4 surveyor. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan aplikasi traffic counter untuk mengumpulkan data. Dari hasil analisa diperoleh bahwa volume tertinggi terjadi di hari Senin dengan nilai sebanyak 13387,95 smp/jam, kecepatan lalu lintas memuncak pada hari minggu 683,49 km/jam, kepadatan tertinggi terjadi pada hari Kamis dengan nilai 997 kend/jam, dan puncak nilai derajat kejenuhan terjadi pada hari Jumat dengan nilai 0,76. Kesimpulan dari hasil analisa ini adalah parkir di badan jalan sangat memengaruhi karakterisktik lalu lintas.
