Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Work Life on Employee Performance with Corporate Culture as an intermediary variable among employees of Nuasana Living Management Surabaya. Problems related to employee performance are often caused by an imbalance between work life and organizational culture that is not fully optimal. This study adopted a quantitative method and a path analysis approach. The saturated sampling technique was used to select all 33 permanent employees as the research sample. Data were obtained using a Likert scale questionnaire instrument and tested through validity and reliability tests, as well as structural model analysis. Work Life variables influence Corporate Culture. This indicates that Work Life (WL) significantly influences Corporate Culture (CC). The more a person is able to balance their personal life with their work life, the more likely it is to create a conducive Corporate Culture (organizational culture). This aligns with the RBV theory used in this study, which explains that the more an organization is able to utilize its resources (employees who are capable of managing their work life), the more likely it is to create something productive, in this case a positive Corporate Culture (CC). Corporate Culture is unable to mediate the influence of Work Life on Employee Performance. This confirms that corporate culture (CC) does not mediate the influence of Work Life (WL) on employee performance (EP). This insignificance occurs because work life (WL) has a significant impact on Corporate Culture (CC), but Corporate Culture (CC) is not strong enough to influence Employee Performance (EP). Therefore, there are other factors such as leadership, work motivation, and workload that can weaken the relationship between variables.
