Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan media sosial dan objektifikasi diri dengan body dissatisfaction pada perempuan dewasa awal di Surabaya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara intensitas penggunaan media sosial dan body dissatisfaction, dengan nilai F = 368,778; p < 0,01; R = 0,714; dan R² = 0,508. Artinya, sebesar 50,8% variasi body dissatisfaction dapat dijelaskan oleh intensitas penggunaan media sosial. Namun, hasil pengujian terhadap peran moderasi menunjukkan bahwa objektifikasi diri tidak memoderasi hubungan tersebut (Z = 0,661; p = 0,509), sehingga hipotesis kedua ditolak. Di sisi lain, terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara objektifikasi diri dan body dissatisfaction, dengan nilai β = 0,687; t = 17,824; p < 0,01, yang mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat objektifikasi diri, semakin tinggi pula body dissatisfaction yang dirasakan. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa baik intensitas penggunaan media sosial maupun objektifikasi diri berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan body dissatisfaction pada perempuan dewasa awal, meskipun objektifikasi diri tidak memiliki peran moderasi dalam hubungan antara media sosial dan ketidakpuasan tubuh.
