Abstract

Mobile banking applications, including the ABC Mobile application, have become the main choice for many customers in Indonesia, with the number of users exceeding 27.2 million by May 2023. However, based on the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire, the average user satisfaction score only reaches 69.93 from 35 respondents, indicating an opportunity to increase ease of use and user satisfaction. This research aims to improve the appearance and user experience through a User Centered Design (UCD) approach and A/B testing. The design stage begins with understanding the user context, identifying user needs, designing solutions, and evaluating the design against user needs. After design, testing is carried out using A/B testing and SUS methods. The test results show that the majority of respondents prefer Prototype A and B designs, with a significant preference for Option 2 or Design B. The SUS assessment in the final stage of testing shows a significant increase in application quality, with the average score increasing from 69.93 in the initial stage to 88.57 in the final stage of testing. It can be concluded that changes to the UI/UX of the ABC Mobile application have successfully increased usability and user satisfaction.
