Abstract

Generasi Z merupakan kelompok usia yang sangat aktif menggunakan media sosial seperti Instagram, namun penggunaan yang tidak bijak dapat memicu perilaku negatif berupa cyber aggression. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self control dan online disinhibition effect terhadap perilaku cyber aggression pada Generasi Z pengguna Instagram. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 150 orang berusia 13-28 tahun yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi berganda dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self control dan online disinhibition effect secara simultan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap perilaku cyber aggression (F= 378,561, 0.000<0.05). Secara parsial, self control memiliki hubungan negatif signifikan terhadap perilaku cyber aggression (t= -3,172, 0.000<0.05), artinya semakin rendah self control, semakin tinggi individu melakukan cyber aggression. Online disinhibition effect memiliki hubungan positif signifikan terhadap perilaku cyber aggression (t= 22,001, 0.000<0.05), artinya semakin tinggi online disinhibition effect, semakin besar individu untuk melakukan cyber aggression. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa self control dan online disinhibition effect merupakan faktor penting yang perlu diperhatikan dalam mencegah perilaku agresif di dunia maya, khususnya pada Generasi Z pengguna Instagram.
