Abstract

Beton merupakan material konstruksi yang umum digunakan karena kekuatan dan daya tahannya. Salah satu inovasinya adalah beton alir, yaitu beton yang memiliki nilai slump flow di atas 19 cm (ASTM C 1017, 1999) dan dapat mengalir serta memadat sendiri tanpa getaran. Untuk mendukung sifat alir ini, digunakan bahan tambah Superplasticizer yang meningkatkan kelecakan tanpa menurunkan kekuatan. Dalam upaya memanfaatkan bahan lokal yang ramah lingkungan, bambu petung (Dendrocalamus Asper) dipilih sebagai bahan tambah beton karena harganya terjangkau dan ketersediaannya melimpah di Indonesia. Serat bambu berpotensi meningkatkan sifat mekanik beton, terutama kuat tekannya. Penelitian ini fokus terhadap pengaruh variasi serat bambu dengan persentase (0%, 3%, 3,5%, 4%, dan 4,5%) pada sifat beton alir, yaitu slump flow, berat isi, kuat tekan, dan resapan air. Superplasticizer digunakan sebanyak 1,5% untuk menjaga kemampuan alir beton. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa nilai tertinggi terjadi pada beton normal sebesar 61cm dikarenakan penambahan serat bambu menurunkan nilai slump flow akibat penyerapan air oleh serat dengan nilai tertinggi. Nilai tertinggi berat isi terjadi pada variasi 4% sebesar 2.447,63kg/m3. Kuat tekan mencapai nilai maksimum 20,81 MPa pada variasi 4%, tetapi menurun pada 4,5% karena distribusi serat yang tidak merata. Sedangkan nilai resapan air cenderung linier meningkat dari beton normal menuju variasi 4,5% dengan nilai 3,85% dan menjadikan nilai tertinggi. Dengan demikian, penambahan serat bambu Petung sebesar 4% merupakan nilai optimal yang mampu meningkatkan kekuatan beton alir secara signifikan terhadap kualitas lainnya. Tidak hanya pada kuat tekan, namun pada pengujian berat isi dan resapan air juga menaikkan nilainya dibandingkan beton normal. Akan tetapi penambahan serat bambu ini menurunkan atau mengurangi nilai slump flow.
