Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between fatherly involvement and emotional maturity and the decision to postpone marriage in early adult women who experience fatherless. This study used a quantitative method with a total of 269 subjects of early adult female participants who experienced fatherlessness with a vulnerable age of 20 years to 40 years and delayed marriage. The data collection technique uses purposive sampling with special criteria, namely those who experience fatherless (fathers who have died, divorced fathers, fathers who do not live with family, are not close to fathers and fathers who work for a long time). The results of the multiple regression analysis test showed that father's involvement and emotional maturity with the decision to postpone marriage in early adult women who experienced fatherless had a simultaneous relationship with father's involvement and emotional maturity with the decision to postpone marriage. The partial test had a positive correlation between the father's involvement and the decision to postpone marriage. A partial test of the variable of emotional maturity with the decision to postpone marriage, had a significant positive correlation of emotional maturity with early adult women who experienced fatherless.
