Abstract
This study discusses the importance of communication patterns between teachers and students with intellectual disabilities in creating an inclusive educational environment. Effective communication is crucial for enhancing the motivation and engagement of students with intellectual disabilities in inclusive education settings, providing equal opportunities for all students, including those with special needs. Using the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theory, the study highlights that students' psychological states, such as confidence and comfort, can be influenced by attentive interactions and the appropriate use of communication techniques. This contributes to their positive response to learning. By adopting a gentler approach, providing special attention, and adjusting teaching methods, teachers can create an environment that supports the social and emotional growth of students. As a result, students with intellectual disabilities feel more engaged, motivated, and confident in the learning process. Consequently, their learning outcomes can be improved. These findings underscore the importance of creating flexible and inclusive learning experiences that can be tailored to the unique needs of students with intellectual disabilities.
