Abstract

The Korean Drama Celebrity is a drama directed by Kim Cheol Kyu, a highly respected writer whose works are eagerly awaited by his fans. The drama premiered on June 30, 2023, depicting the reality of the glamorous and competitive lives of influencers, where fame can bring wealth and unexpected experiences. The story follows a character who becomes famous by taking bold and distinctive actions, setting them apart from other influencers. This research aims to examine the influence of the drama Celebrity on students' interest in becoming influencers. The study employs behaviorism theory and the Stimulus-Response (S-R) model, with variables adjusted to the Celebrity drama. Variable X (drama Celebrity) is categorized into indicators of Frequency, Duration, and Attention, while students' interest in becoming influencers (Variable Y) is categorized into Cognitive, Affective, and Conative aspects. The analysis techniques used in this study include classical assumption tests, correlation tests, and simple linear regression analysis. The sampling technique applied is purposive sampling, involving 100 research respondents. A simple linear regression test produced the equation Y = 6.350 + 0.780 X. The correlation test results show that the drama Celebrity influences students' interest in becoming influencers by 0.723, or 72.3%. This indicates that Variable X has a significant influence on Variable Y.
