Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine whether there is a relationship between self esteem and psychological well being in tomboy women in Surabaya. The method used in this research is quantitative research. The population in this study is tomboy women aged 18 to 25 years who lives in Surabaya. The participants in this study totaled 55 tomboys, determined using the GPower application. The data analysis used in this study employed the Pearson Product Moment correlation technique. Based on the results of the data analysis, the correlation test between self esteem and psychological well being was 0,827 with a significance of p = 0,001 (p < 0,05), indicating a positive and very significant relationship between self esteem and psychological well being in tomboy women. In conclusion, the higher the self esteem of tomboy women, the higher their psychological well being. Conversely, the lower the self esteem of tomboy women, the lower their psychological well being.
