Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between celebrity worship and the subjective well-being of NCT fans. This research uses quantitative correlational research methods. Data from this research were obtained from NCT fans in the telegram group who had filled out a questionnaire distributed by researchers in the form of a gform link. The samples from this research were individuals who were fans of NCT for more than one year, totaling 189 subjects taken using the Slovin formula (Sugiyono, 2017). The data collection instrument uses a Likert scale, namely the celebrity worship scale and the subjective well-being scale. Data analysis used in this research uses the Spearman Rho non-parametric analysis technique. The results of the correlation analysis between celebrity worship and the subjective well-being of NCT fans obtained a correlation score of 0.232 with a significance score of p = 0.001 < 0.01, which means there is a significant positive relationship between celebrity worship and subjective well-being. This means that the hypothesis proposed in this research is rejected.
