Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out whether there is a relationship between the tendency to cope with stress and subjective well-being in early adult K-Pop fans. The method used in this research is quantitative methods. The population in this study are K-Pop fans who are in early adulthood, namely aged 18-30 years. The subjects in this research were 103 respondents. The data collection instrument uses a Likert scale, namely the coping stress scale and the subjective well-being scale. Data analysis in this research uses regression analysis techniques. The results of the correlation test using SPSS 16 for Windows for problem focused coping show a correlation value of r = -0.272 with a significance value of p=0.006 <0.05. These results indicate that there is a significant negative relationship between coping stress and subjective well-being. Meanwhile, for emotional focused coping, it has a significant positive relationship of r = 0.742 with a significance value of p = 0.000 (<0.05). Therefore, the hypothesis in this research is accepted.
