Abstract

Untuk dapat melaksanakan produksi dalam dunia industri, saat ini diperlukan mesin- mesin yang dapat beroperasi secara otomatis guna mendongkrak produksi secara efektif dan efisien. Otomatisasi industri mempunyai manfaat mengurangi kebutuhan tenaga manusia. Sistem kontrol jarak berbasis PLC (Programmable Logic Control) yang mengatur jarak antar objek dan penyortiran adalah salah satu opsi otomatis. Sebelum dioperasikan, PLC (Programmable Logic Control) perlu diprogram menggunakan program CX Programmer. Agar sistem dapat berjalan sebagaimana mestinya, maka sistem kendali penyortiran barang berdasarkan berat benda dapat dibuat dengan menggunakan PLC Omron CP1E, Servo untuk membuka dan menutup sistem penyortiran, Motor AC 3 Fasa untuk penggerak utama konveyor yang dipadukan dengan penggerak frekuensi variabel untuk kontrol kecepatan yaitu VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) dan Arduino untuk memberikan perintah kepada aktuator yaitu servo. Melalui penggunaan penggerak frekuensi variabel yang diintegrasikan ke dalam kontrol logika yang dapat diprogram, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat dua jenis sistem: yaitu untuk menyortir objek berdasarkan beratnya, dan yang lainnya untuk mengontrol kecepatan. Sistem pengatur kecepatan akan berfungsi sebagai pengatur jarak benda berdasarkan perbedaan frekuensi.
