Abstract

Play intensity is the level of how often an individual carries out certain activities based on feelings of enjoyment in the activity being carried out. The intensity which tends to be high can be caused by the high frequency and also the long duration required by individuals to access a media. Players who actively play online gambing basically start out of curiosity which leeds to addiction and causes the intensity of playing to be high. One of the factors that influences playing intensity is self control an action by thinking about the various impacts it will have. Accepted.The sampling method using purposivesampling technique with the number of samples obtained was 99 people. The self control scale was prepared based on Averill”s (2010) theory and the playing intensity scale was prepared by eseachers based on Horrigan”s (2002) theory. This research analysis uses pearson product moment corelation. Based on the result of th analysis, it is known that there is a relationship between self control and intensity of playing online gambling.
