Abstract

In the rapidly developing digital era, social media has become one of the most effective communication tools in disseminating information and influencing people's behavior. One platform that has a big influence in spreading social and environmental messages is Instagram. The aim of this research is to examine the influence of exposure to the Instagram account @pandawaragroup on environmental care behavior of teenagers at SMPN 36 Surabaya. The method used is quantitative with a Stimulus-Response (S-R) theory approach and media exposure theory. Data was collected through surveys and analyzed using simple linear regression. The research results show that the content from the @pandawaragroup account has a significant influence on teenagers' environmental care behavior with a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.507. This means that 50.7% of the variation in environmental care behavior is explained by exposure to the account's content. The conclusion of this research is that social media such as Instagram can be an effective tool in increasing environmental awareness and concern among teenagers.
