Abstract

The Tuban Regency Government has started an initiative to build the Tuban South Ringroad to improve accessibility and reduce traffic congestion. However, the land acquisition process for the construction of this project experienced a number of obstacles, causing the land acquisition progress to still be far from the expected target. Based on information from the Tuban Regency Government, to date only around 457 plots of land out of a total of 665 have been successfully acquired. The main obstacle causing the delay in land acquisition is thought to be the process of bargaining for the land price which has not yet reached an agreement. After the land was cleared, the people lost their livelihoods and were affected economically. There are several people who have lost their livelihoods. After this land acquisition they looked for a new place to start from scratch. For example, one of the people who initially had a shop after the land was acquired had to look for a strategic place to start their business. The aim of this research is to describe the evaluation of land acquisition policies for the construction of the southern ring road (Ringroad) in Kembangbilo village, Tuban District, Tuban Regency. The research method in this study uses descriptive qualitative methods, to collect data through observation, documentation and observation. The results of this research show 2 indicators, including a positive impact on the community, this shows that from this land acquisition activity many people experience benefits and a negative impact on the community, this shows that from this land acquisition activity the community experiences losses on the land that is compensated.
