Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of Entrepreneurial Characteristics, Self-Confidence, and Competitive Advantage on Business Performance at Perumtas 3 Culinary Center in Sidoarjo. In Indonesia have made a lot of progress in recent years. This is due to their capacity to absorb a large number of unemployed people and their significant contribution to the Gross Domestic Product. Micro and small enterprises have a significant impact on the national economy. Therefore, it is necessary to improve entrepreneurial characteristics, increase self�confidence, increase competitive advantage, and also improve business performance by having an understanding of entrepreneurial characteristics, self-confidence, and competitive advantage. So that business actors can develop effective strategies to improve business performance. This research uses a Quantitative approach. This data was collected through questionnaires distributed to Perumtas 3 culinary center business actors with a total of 96 business actors. The sample technique used is saturated sampling technique which is included in the type of non-probability sampling, while the data analysis technique uses Multiple Linear Test, t test, F test, r test (correlation), and R2 test (coefficient of determination). The results of this study indicate that the variables of Entrepreneurial Characteristics, Self-Confidence, and Competitive Advantage have a partial or simultaneous effect on Business Performance, this is because the three variables support each other in creating a competitive business environment.
