Abstract

This research aims to empower Difa Laras Surabaya as a vulnerable group that needs assistance to carry out activities. In this case, Difa Laras Surabaya is also a group that needs space to express and exist in society. Therefore, with action research, researchers built a website-based community media for Difa Laras Surabaya. In practice, websites require content in the form of writing, photos or videos, and design results. To make this happen, researchers held training which Difa Laras Surabaya participated in regarding the content by applying the cycle from Kemmis and Mc Taggart which includes planning, acting, observing, reflecting. From the results of the training attended by 17 members of Difa Laras Surabaya, the results can be seen on their website and social media. They are able to write by telling stories about the activities they do, take photos and videos of their training or performances, and create a t-shirt design that they wear during their activities. These results prove that Difa Laras Surabaya is able to prove that disabled people are also able to produce work.
