Abstract

Jawa Timur merupakan salah satu provinsi terbesar di Indonesia yang memiliki jumlah penduduk terpadat kedua dengan konsentrasi kepadatan berada di Kota Surabaya. Perpindahan penduduk dari luar kota atau desa ke kota atau yang biasa disebut urbanisasi menjadi salah satu alasan mengapa kepadatan penduduk di Surabaya semakin banyak dari tahun ke tahun. Keterbatasan lahan untuk kebutuhan rumah tinggal merupakan salah satu masalah yang timbul Diperkotaan. Dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, solusi yang diambil oleh pemerintah kota adalah merencanakan pembangunan rumah susun sederhana milik di Surabaya dengan total 9 rusunami. Tujuan pembangunan rusunami ini dapat menjadi Solusi permasalahan akan keterbatasan permukiman di perkotaan. Dalam pembangunan rusunami hal yang perlu diperhatikan adalah Lokasi atau keadaan lingkungan sekitar dan keadaan iklim pada Lokasi. Surabaya sendiri berada di iklim tropis yang memiliki dua musim yaitu panas dan hujan. Lokasi tapak terpilih untuk perancangan rusunami ini adalah di Wonorejo Surabaya. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi permasalahan keadaan lingkungan tapak yang memiliki musim panas dan hujan, pada perancangan rusunami ini akan menerapkan konsep Arsitektur Bioklimatik. Dalam mendesain sebuah bangunan terdapat beberapa aspek yang perlu diperhatikan orientasi bangunan, orientasi bukaan, sun shading device, ruang transisi, desain dinding, penyekat panas, hubungan terhadap landscape, alat pembayang pasih, penyekat panas pada lantai perlu diperhatikan. Pada saat semua prinsip menjadi satu dalam sebuah rancangan akan menghasilkan kenyamanan pada bangunan. Dengan memanfaatkan semua aspek tersebut, bangunan juga dapat menghemat energi dan ramah pada lingkungan. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat mendesain sebuah bangunan dengan prinsip arsitektur bioklimatik sebagai acuan dalam merancang sebuah bangunan.
