Abstract

This research aims to analyze and understand the production management of the "Cangkir" program on Surabaya TV using the Media Ecology theory and POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) approach. Ecological Media Interaction Theory looks at television media with the social and technological environment in production, while POAC begins the management process that is applied. Qualitative descriptive research methods include in-depth interviews with management, production teams and employees, as well as participant observation and documentation. The results show that the production management of "Cangkir" applies the POAC principles well: careful content planning taking into account trends and audience preferences, an efficient production team structure, good coordination between members, and regular evaluation to identify and overcome obstacles. In addition, the application of Media Ecology theory shows Surabaya TV's adaptation to technological changes and social dynamics, optimizing media, technology and audience interactions to produce relevant and interesting content. The research concludes that the success of "Cangkir" production management at Surabaya TV comes from the effective application of POAC theory and adaptation to dynamic ecological media, contributing to the development of television production management studies and better media industry practices.
