Abstract

Perkembangan pada dunia industri yang begitu pesat memaksa pelaku industri untuk dituntut untuk memperhatikan segala aspek bisnis dalam usahanya untuk bertahan dalam persaingan, termasuk pengendalian terhadap penyimpanan bahan baku guna kelancaran proses produksi. UD. FDL merupakan industri yang bergerak dalam bidang produksi sekop, yang dalam proses produksinya melibatkan beberapa bahan baku dalam skala yang cukup besar, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengendalian bahan baku secara spesifik. Pada area produksi terlihat kurang tertata dengan baik sebab akses untuk pengambilan barang jadi berada di Tengah area produksi sehingga akan bisa berakibat terganggunya proses produksi. Selain itu perusahaan juga kurang spesifik dalam melakukan perhitungan harga pokok produksi dengan hanya menghitung biaya-biaya secara sederhana dan kurang kompleks. Pengendalian bahan baku dengan menggunakan metode inventory turnover ratio serta min-max stock akan membantu perusahaan untuk mengetahui berapa lama bahan baku tinggal dalam penyimpanan serta menjadi penentu stok manimum dan maksimum yang boleh ditampung oleh gudang. Perancangan ulang pada layout menggunakan metode from to chart dengan menukar beberapa area mesin serta memindahkan gudang produk jadi kearea depan akan memperlancar aliran pada lantai produksi. Serta penentuan harga pokok produk dengan menggunakan metode full costing akan menjamin bahwa harga pokok produk yang diperoleh dari hasil perhitungan lebih akurat. Dari perhitungan yang dilakukan pada penyimpanan bahan baku terjadi penumpukan pada beberapa bahan baku yaitu plat besi, pipa besi, sekrup dan kawat las. Dari rancangan layout usulan perlu adanya pertukaran tempat antara mesin press dan mesin plong, serta pada harga pokok produksi diketahui perhitungan menggunakan metode full costing lebih optimal karena terdapat selisih dengan perhitungan dari pabrik.
