Abstract

Employee performance has not reached its maximum potential in improving the level of public services. Employees who are late in providing service and make customers wait a long time are a reflection of this. The use of employee performance in improving public service standards in Tenggilis Mejoyo District, Surabaya City is covered in this research. The aim of this research is to evaluate how well employee performance contributes to improving public service standards in Tenggilis Mejoyo District, Surabaya City. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method with an observation, interview and documentation approach. The theory used is Steers (2005:226) who puts forward four criteria for measuring effectiveness, namely (1) Productivity (2) Adaptability (3) Job Satisfaction (4) Search for Human Resources. Data reduction, data visualization, and drawing up data conclusions are part of the data analysis methodology. Information is presented narratively. The results of this research are based on indicator analysis, Steers (2005:226) suggests four criteria for measuring effectiveness, namely (1) Productivity (2) Adaptability (3) Job Satisfaction (4) Search for Human Resources. Several of these indicators can be said to be effective, but there are indicators for the search for human resources, which are meant by the number of human resources and employee abilities. For this reason, you can increase the number of employees, especially service officers, and provide thorough and detailed procedures or steps to the public in handling letters and filesis.
