Abstract

CV. Jaya Perkasa Abadi merupakan perusahaan yang mengkhususkan diri dalam produksi timba cor yang terbuat dari bahan baku biji plastik LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) pelet. CV. Jaya Perkasa Abadi berlokasi di Pergudangan Jaya Park Blok C No 7 Dusun Kapas Melati, Desa Jabaran, Kecamatan BalongBendo, Kabupaten Sidoarjo. CV. Jaya Perkasa Abadi saat ini sedang mengalami permasalahan dalam mengelola persediaan bahan baku biji LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene). Fluktuasi permintaan timba cor dan tidak adanya kebijakan dalam mengelola persediaan bahan baku membuat CV. Jaya Perkasa Abadi mengalami kelebihan dan kekurangan stok bahan baku biji plastik LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene). Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini perlu dilakukan untuk menganalisis perencanaan dan pengelolaan persediaan bahan baku biji LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) dengan menggunakan metode perhitungan probabilistik model P back order. Metode ini melibatkan iterasi untuk memilih solusi terbaik yang akan menghasilkan total biaya persediaan yang minimal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa metode perhitungan probabilistik model P back order menghasilkan total biaya yang lebih optimal dibanding kebijakan yang dilakukan perusahaan selama ini. Total biaya yang dikeluarkan dengan menggunakan metode perhitungan probabilistik model P back order sebesar Rp. 5.693.961.481 per tahun dengan melakukan pemesanan T0 setiap 5 hari atau 0,01659 tahun, inventori maksimum yang diharapkan sebesar 13.857 Kg, dan tingkat pelayanan sebesar 99,99%. Total biaya tersebut mendapatkan hasil yang lebih kecil dibanding metode persediaan yang diterapkan oleh perusahaan yaitu sebesar Rp. 6.182.781.093.
