Abstract

This research approach is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study were obtained from interviews, documentation and field observations, while the analysis technique was carried out through the process of data collection, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of information systems for managing equipment and supervising Public Street Lighting (LPJU) and application�based equipment facilities by the Berau Regency Transportation Office has been running well. This can be seen from the following aspects; (1) Communication, communication has been going well, namely by socialisation and discussion within the internal scope of the Transportation Agency to provide understanding to the bureaucratic apparatus regarding the program to be carried out and strengthen the program before being socialised to regional apparatus organizations and the people of Berau Regency. (2) Resources include human resources, budget resources, and infrastructure resources. For human resources, the Transportation Agency provides training and technical guidance. Budget resources are supported by the Berau Regency Government through the Regional Budget for the procurement of tools and equipment to support the programme. For infrastructure, operational equipment has been rejuvenated and other supporting equipment procured. (3) Disposition, programme implementers have a commitment to carry out their duties well and are in accordance with the authority and main duties and functions in accordance with their position, and (4) Bureaucratic structure, the main duties and functions have been determined in carrying out authority in accordance with their position and implementing procedures have been prepared in the form of implementation SOPs. For inhibiting factors are the cost of procurement and installation of expensive tools and devices and the unequal ability of human resources at the Transportation Office who have competence in the field of information technology.
