Abstract

The era of globalization is a big challenge faced by local governments in carrying out their duties and functions to meet community needs, as well as providing the best, fastest and most accurate services (public services). Community satisfaction with public services provided by the government is an indicator of the success of implementing regional autonomy. The Bojonegoro Regency Fire and Rescue Service (Disdamkarmat) is one of the agencies that provides services to the community. The position of government officials in public services is very strategic because it will determine the extent to which the government is able to provide the best service for the community. The author's aim is to determine the influence of: level of education, work experience and competency on career development, job satisfaction and performance. The population in this study were 129 Disdamkarmat employees. The sampling technique was saturated, namely 129 employees. The data analysis technique used is the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results of the research show that (1) level of education has a significant effect on career development (2) level of education has no significant effect on job satisfaction (3) level of education has no significant effect on performance (4) work experience has a significant effect on career development (5) work experience significant effect on job satisfaction (6) work experience has a significant effect on performance (7) competence has a significant effect on career development (8) competence has a significant effect on job satisfaction (9) competence has a significant effect on performance (10) career development has a significant effect on job satisfaction ( 11) career development has a significant effect on performance (12) job satisfaction has a significant effect on performance.
