Abstract

This study uses Pearson product moment analysis technique. The sampling technique used was Purposive Sampling with respondents of grade 2 junior high school students at SMPN 4 Waru. In this study, 111 respondents were obtained. The results show that interest in learning with learning motivation has a significant relationship. This is evidenced by the Pearson product moment which gives a number of 0.462 with a significance of p = 0.000 or p <0.01. So it can be said that if the higher the interest in learning, the higher the motivation to learn. Conversely, the lower the interest in learning, the lower the learning motivation in SMPN 4 Waru students class 2. So the hypothesis in this study can be accepted, namely that there is a positive relationship between interest in learning and learning motivation in students class 2 of SMPN 4 Waru.
