Abstract

This research aims to explore the relationship between the perception of friendship quality and emotional regulation with happiness among teenagers who are victims of parental divorce. The study employs a quantitative research design using a correlational quantitative method. The sampling technique utilizes the Gpower application, considering the effect size values obtained from previous research, resulting in a sample size of 192 participants. Data analysis involves the Spearman's Rho technique with the assistance of SPSS version 25 for Windows. The statistical analysis results reveal a correlation coefficient of 0.495 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05 between the variables of friendship quality perception and happiness. This indicates a significant positive relationship between the perception of friendship quality and happiness. In other words, the higher the perception of friendship quality among teenagers, the higher their level of happiness. Similarly, the statistical analysis results for the relationship between the variables of emotional regulation and happiness show a correlation coefficient of 0.367 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. This implies a significant positive relationship between emotional regulation and happiness. In essence, the higher the emotional regulation among teenagers, the higher their level of happiness.
