Abstract

The bicycle is a traditional vehicle that is still irrelevant today, it was introduced by the Dutch during the Dutch Colonial era and the bicycle not only functions as a means of transportation, but has also become a favorite among society as a means of sports. Many people, both young and old, You can enjoy cycling when you have free time. Law Number 22 of 2009, Article 62 Paragraphs 1 and 2, which states that (1) the government must provide ease of traffic for cyclists, and (2) cyclists have rights to facilities that support safety and security. , orderliness and smooth traffic. Bicycle lanes are special lanes that are specifically intended for bicycle users, generally located on the side of the road or separate from general roads. From the results of research on the implementation of bicycle lanes in the city of Surabaya in improving the quality and safety of the community, it is sufficient OK. Along with the increase in cyclists in the city of Surabaya, the Surabaya Transportation Department is also balancing this by adding bicycle lanes every year and carrying out the best monitoring for its users.
