Abstract

Social media can be considered as a tool that complements E�Government services in that public institutions can become more responsive and transparent, promote more efficient government partnerships, and empower citizens by facilitating direct access to knowledge and other resources. One of the responsibilities of government public relations is to ensure that the public's negative perceptions of the government can be managed well through presenting data and facts on Facebook as reported by the Facebook account of the Manggarai Concerned People's Forum (FRPM) showing some factual data on the ground and public perceptions in response to this. . Therefore, this research aims to determine the influence of the FRPM Facebook account on the public's perception of the Manggarai Regent's good governance. This research uses quantitative methods with a focus on collecting and analyzing data in numerical form. With a sample from a population of 20,500 Manggarai people who are members of the "FRPM" Facebook account, a sample of 100 respondents was generated using the Slovin formula. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive. Based on the results of statistical tests, a significance value of 0.00 was found, which is smallerthan the significance limit value of 0.05. Apart from that, the calculated t_value (9.478) also exceeds the t_table value (1.660). Therefore, it can be concluded that Facebook Social Media FRPM (X) has a positive and significant influence on Good Governance (Y) (H1 is accepted).
