Abstract

The internet has become a part of people's lives and has changed the way of interacting, making it more accessible to local people. With the internet, now fundraising can be done more easily. Like using social media. Fundraising on social media has become a dominating phenomenon in efforts to support various social initiatives, humanitarian and charitable projects. This study aims to investigate the impact of fundraising strategies on social media platforms in relation to success and community participation. Through a data analysis approach from successful campaigns, Exploring the key factors that contribute to the success of online fundraising. This research is entitled Analysis of Digital Activism on Social Media (Virtual Ethnographic Study of Fundraising Account @greenord27 on Instagram Social Media). The author aims to research the use of social media in raising funds on the @greenord27 Instagram account, as well as finding out the management and obstacles faced by @greenord27 in utilizing Digital Activism on Social Media. The author uses Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) theory. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with the Virtual Ethnography method. Data collection in research is by means of Observation, Documentation, Interviews which after data collection are processed through data collection, Data Reduction, Data Presentation, and Verification.
