Abstract

Currently, the media controls most communication patterns across various aspects, ranging from economics to social and politics. Naturally, this leads to more effective changes in communication patterns. One such method involves using political visualization as a form of visual rhetoric. This research examines visual rhetoric based on political visualization on the cover of Majalah Tempo as a response to the phenomenon of presidential candidacy ahead of the 2024 presidential election. The aim is to dissect the meaning contained in an image associated with national and political issues in the media. The method employed in this research is descriptive qualitative, using Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis to narrate the meaning depicted on the cover of Majalah Tempo. The results of this research reveal the fulfillment of the requirements for visual rhetoric in political visualization in the media.
