Abstract
This research aims to see further which companies are in the financial distress category using the Altman Z-Score, Grover, and Fulmer models. The Grover and Fulmer model is a more accurate model than the Altman Z-Score. This research method is quantitative descriptive research. This research was carried out at cosmetics subsector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022. The type of research data is quantitative data. The data source used is secondary data in the form of company financial reports. The population of this research was 6 cosmetic companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018-2022 period. The sample selection technique uses saturated sampling. The data analysis method used is quantitative analysis. The results of this research show that using the Altman Z-Score model, it is known that there is 1 company that is in a state of distress, namely the MBTO company with an average score of 0.365 and there is 1 company that is experiencing a gray area condition, namely the KINO company. Using the Grover model, it is known that there is 1 company that is in a state of distress, namely the MBTO company with an average of -0.4948. And with the Fulmer model it is also known that there is 1 company that is in a state of distress, namely the ADES company with an average of -298.4932. The Grover and Fulmer model has a high level of accuracy in analyzing and predicting financial distress in the cosmetics subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The level of accuracy for these two models is the same, namely 83.3% with a type II error of 16.6%.
