Abstract

PT XYZ is well-known retail company among the Indonesian community. One of its distribution centers is the Banjarmasin branch, which is responsible for distributing goods to 432 retail stores in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan. This study aims to analyze and identify the influence of supplier commitment on the improvement of the Service Level Warehouse at PT XYZ. Service Level Warehouse is a key factor in efficiently and timely meeting customer needs. Behind the high demand for merchandise by retail stores, there is a crucial role played by suppliers, measured based on the level of service (service level), hence supplier commitment becomes an important factor in ensuring the availability of products needed in the warehouse. Constraints in improving the Service Level Warehouse include high lead time, once�a-week Supplier Delivery Day (JWK Supplier), production constraints, high store DSI, unprepared items during promotions, and slow response from suppliers. The Service Level Warehouse in March - June experienced an increase from 56.12% to 76.12% after optimization. Meanwhile, the Service Level Supplier also increased from 66.47% to 76.51% from the Company's target of 75%. Recommended improvement suggestions include optimizing items that contribute the most to the service level, conducting TOTI (turnover of items), returning excess stock in stores (overstock returns), improving lead time, increasing JWK, conducting PKM reviews, and maintaining communication with suppliers. In this study, it was found that these improvement suggestions can increase the Service Level Warehouse and reduce the out-of-stock rate.
