Abstract

In Indonesia, it is known that there is a suicide emergency, and it has been estimated that more than four thousand people have lost their lives from year to year. This is triggered by suicidal ideation and women are more prone to suicidal ideation. Thus, this study aimed to determine the negative relationship between emotional maturity and forgiveness with suicidal ideation tendencies in early adult women. This study used a sample of 233 early adult women aged 18-25 years in Surabaya City. Also, the sampling method used was accidental sampling. This study used measuring instruments Suicide Ideation Scale, emotional maturity scale and forgiveness scale. Meanwhile, this research method is quantitative and the analysis technique used is multiple linear regression data. Based on the results found by researchers, it is explained that there is a significant correlation between emotional maturity and suicidal ideation, with a value of 0.006 (p <0.05) and there is a significant correlation between forgiveness and suicidal ideation, with a value of 0.000 (p <0.05). And simultaneously 0.000 (p<0.05). As an advice for readers, subjects, parents, individuals who have suicidal ideation, should forgive and try to think more deeply in acting.
