Abstract
The availability of quality medical devices is important in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, both medical devices for patients and medical personnel. The Surabaya Health Facilities Security Center has a function as a laboratory for quality development and technology development as well as a laboratory for inspection of health facilities and infrastructure. In addition, the fulfillment of human resources at BPFK from the aspect of quality and quantity is also an obstacle. Efforts to optimize BPFK services for calibration tests do not only depend on the quality of tools and infrastructure but the quality and quantity of human resources is also the main thing. Currently, the quality of Human Resources at BPFK has been fulfilled, but the number of Human Resources is still lacking. This study aims to identify the optimization of existing human resources at BPFK Surabaya in improving the quality of calibration and testing services for medical devices in the city of Surabaya. This research is qualitative in nature. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. This study uses analysis from Moeloeng, namely conversations with informants or informants. In optimizing human resources and improving service quality, BPFK Surabaya seeks to improve training and competency and skill tests according to educational level and by increasing the number of personnel so that it will support its field of work. Through improving the quality and quantity as well as infrastructure at BPFK efforts to optimize medical device calibration services in Surabaya city health services can be achieved. So that the benefits of BPFK service quality can be felt by BPFK service users in increasing the calibration test of medical devices for health services in the city of Surabaya.
