Abstract

The development of transportation infrastructure is an important aspect in supporting economic growth and regional connectivity. One of the significant development projects is the development of the Yos Sudarso Port Passenger Terminal in Tual, Southeast Maluku. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the development needs of the passenger terminal, analyze the expected impact of the development, and formulate recommendations for the implementation of an effective development. The development of the Yos Sudarso Port Passenger Terminal is very important to increase capacity, efficiency and user experience. The expected impacts of this development include increasing accessibility, improving services, improving the local economy, and increasing regional connectivity. Recommendations made include expanding and renovating the passenger terminal, improving supporting facilities such as waiting areas, parking, and accessibility for persons with disabilities, as well as improving passenger and security information systems. The development of the Yos Sudarso Port Passenger Terminal in Tual, Southeast Maluku is expected to improve passenger experience, support regional economic growth, and strengthen regional connectivity. Implementation of the proposed recommendations needs to involve cooperation between port authorities, local governments, transport operators and other relevant stakeholders. With proper development, this port can become an efficient and modern gateway for sea transportation access in the Southeast Maluku region.
