Abstract

In the current era of globalization, developments in the field of Public Relations or Public Relations play an important role in the progress of an institution or organization. Public Relations has a responsibility to effectively link the institution with the public. In the field of education, especially for teachers and the community, the @bbgpjatim Instagram account can be a very useful source of information in providing information on the Teacher Mobilization Program. In order to achieve this goal, the East Java Teacher Mobilization Center (BBGP) is trying to provide information about the Teacher Mobilization program via Instagram because technological developments have made the internet a part of modern society's life. This study aims to find out the role of Public Relations of the East Java Teacher Mobilization Center in providing information on the Teacher Mobilization program via Instagram @bbgpjatim. According to Mulayana (2014) there are five elements of communication that will depend on one another, namely source (communicator), massage (message), channel (media), receiver (communicant) and effect (effect). The methodology used in this study is descriptive qualitative. . The subjects of this research were the East Java BPGP Public Relations Working Group and the Instagram admin. In this study, researchers were assisted by several informants who would provide a more detailed explanation of the role of Public Relations of the East Java Teacher Mobilization Center in providing information on the Teacher Mobilization program via Instagram @bbgpjatim. Strengthened by theory as a data validation technique that is able to compare research results with relevant theories. Overall, this study concludes that the Public Relations role of the East Java Teacher Mobilization Center in providing information on the Mobilizing Teacher program via Instagram @bbgpjatim can be described as follows: 1) expert adviser, 2) problem solving process facilitator, 3) communication facilitator, 4) technician communication.
