Abstract

PT. Varia Usaha Beton is a company that produces various kinds of concrete products, including Masonry Concrete, Ready-Mix Concrete, and Precast Concrete. To maintain the smooth production process, the company is highly dependent on raw material suppliers. However, problems can arise if suppliers experience delays in the delivery of these raw materials. In September 2022 to February 2023, the area where the supplier operates experiences high rainfall. This has an impact on the extraction of raw materials from nature, such as sand and crushed stone. Suppliers will face difficulties in sourcing this raw material, which then has the potential to result in delivery delays. In addition, the time-consuming distance between the supplier and the company is one of the reasons for this delay. To overcome this problem, researchers developed a scoring system as a solution. Each supplier is given its own weight and score based on the relevant criteria. This score reflects supplier performance and reliability in fulfilling orders on time. By knowing the score of each supplier, the company can schedule raw material orders according to the supplier's score. The results of this study indicate that companies can use all available suppliers, but with different order quantities according to the supplier's score. Thus, the company no longer has to worry about delays in the delivery of raw materials.
