Abstract
Surabaya is the second densely populated city after Jakarta. The population density can affect the level of environmental cleanliness of the city of Surabaya. One of the factors is due to the habits of the community as consumers who always produce waste in every activity they do. PET plastic bottle waste is one of the waste with the largest frequency produced by the community. This can be a problem for all elements, both the community and the city government, if there is no awareness and full contribution from the community to help manage PET waste. Responding to these problems, therefore this study discusses the factors that affect the contribution of the people of Surabaya in managing PET plastic bottle waste in the reverse logistics network until the plastic bottles are processed and returned to companies or manufacturers. Information on factors that influence community contribution can be obtained from the distribution of questionnaires and interview stages and supported by data obtained from the city government both from the Environmental Agency, the Main Waste Bank, and the Unit Waste Bank. The results of respondents' answers to questionnaires that have been distributed, will then be processed and tested for accuracy using validity tests and reliability tests which will then be reprocessed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to determine the relationship between variables and indicators.
