Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the conceptual framework model of research conducted by Maartje Paais in 2020 using the Social Exchange Theory. The study adopts a quantitative approach with a population of 50 employees at PT. BGR Logistik Indonesia Surabaya. A saturated sample is used, where the entire population is included as the research sample. Data is collected through a questionnaire consisting of questions related to work motivation, ethical leadership, and job satisfaction. The results of this study indicate a significant influence of work motivation on job satisfaction, as well as a significant influence of ethical leadership on job satisfaction. These findings support the hypotheses proposed in this research. The findings of this study are expected to provide considerations for companies to enhance employee job satisfaction through effective work motivation development and the implementation of strong ethical leadership.
