Abstract

This research is to develop a model of the Role of Consciousness of Cyber Defense and Enterprise Social Media Use at Work in Mediating the Relationship Between Use of Technology and Organizational Performance in the Cyber Media Industry in East Java. This type of research is explanatory with quantitative approach and data analysis techniques using SEM-PLS. The population of this study is all cyber media industry organizations in East Java, with 153 cyber media organizations respondents. The results showed that Use of Technology has a significant effect on the Consciousness of Cyber Defense. Use of Technology has significant effect on Enterprise Social Media Use at Work. Use of Technology has significant effect on Organizational Performance. Consciousness of Cyber Defense has significant effect on Organizational Performance. Enterprise Social Media Use at Work has significant effect on Organizational Performance. Furthermore, Consciousness of Cyber Defense has significant role in mediating the relationship between the Use of Technology variable and the Organizational Performance variable. However, Enterprise Social Media Use at Work has insignificant role in mediating the relationship between Use of Technology and Organizational Performance. This research recommends that Use of Technology needs to be improved to maximize work so that Organizational Performance improves as well. Consciousness of Cyber Defense needs to be improved so that the digital assets of cyber media organizations can be protected very securely which in turn also has an impact on the Organizational Performance of cyber media. Enterprise Social Media Use at Work needs to be improved so that interactions between employees and work can be faster and easier to complete.
