Abstract
The development of an increasingly advanced era coexists with the development of industrial technology so that it becomes a tight business competition. So companies compete to produce products that are of high quality. The average percentage of defects for the 2021 period has a defect percentage of 3.42%. With the high percentage of defects in the company, which reached 3.42%, it has exceeded the defect threshold set by the company. The company provides a defect limit of 3%, but in reality the percentage of defects has exceeded the limit. Discrepancies from the results of defects with the standards set by the company have an impact on the production process. Product quality control is needed which aims to make the company produce products according to company standards. Quality control uses the DMAIC (Defect, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) method. By making the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis FMEA an analysis of defective products and using the DMAIC (Defect, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) method to carry out control improvements quality Success in identifying causes of defects that occur during production and finding solutions that can be done to reduce product defect rates Successful in implementing quality control using the DMAIC and FMEA methods resulting in a decrease in the percentage of product defects from 3.42% to 1,14%.
