Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between forgiveness and psychological well-being in victims of dating violence. This study uses quantitative methods to achieve research objectives. The research subjects used in this study were victims of dating violence in Surabaya, totaling 95 women.This study used purposive sampling. The measurement tool uses a scale of forgiveness and psychological well-being, dating violence to find subject criteria. Research data were analyzed using the Spearman Brown correlation test. The results of the calculation of the data analysis show that the Spearman Brown correlation coefficient is 0.695 with a significance level of p = 0.000 (p <0.01), this result means that there is a significant positive relationship between forgiveness and psychological well-being in victims of dating violence. In this result it is interpreted that the higher the forgiveness, the higher the psychological wellbeing, conversely, the lower the forgiveness, the lower the psychological wellbeing. The hypothesis that says there is a relationship between forgiveness and psychological well-being in victims of dating violence is accepted.
